HUNTERPOINTE FARM STAFF Brian Shook Owner/Trainer/Rider
Hunterpointe Farms' trainer Brian Shook is dedicated to the development and training of horse and rider. Brian trained under Grand Prix rider Chris Kappler during his junior and amateur riding years. These years were spent learning and developing the skills to become a professional horseman. As a junior rider, Brian qualified for the AHSA(Now USA Equestrian Medal) Medal finals 2 years in a row, placing in the top 15 riders in the country, as well as qualifing for and competing in the ASPCA Maclay Finals and the USET Equitation Finals East.
In 1993, Brian went on to become a successful Grand
Prix jumping competitor, riding and placing in Grand Prix competitions
throughout the Midwest,East Coast and Southern Circuits. Other
than Grand Prix competition, Brian develops horses from green broke 3
year olds, schooling and preliminary jumpers and all levels of hunters.
He also develops successful riders in all areas of showing from
children's hunters, adult equitation riders and child/adult and Jr./AO
jumpers.
Tiffany Carr Road Manager/Show Groom/Rider
Tiffany grew up around horses in Wheeling, West Virginia. Her dad is a small animal veterinarian and her mom is a vet tech so she was always around animals. She began formal riding lessons with Barb Armbrecht at 41/2 years old. She was a member of Pony Club and achieved a C-2 rating. In 1996 she qualified for the NAL Children's Hunter Finals and finished 3rd overall.Then in 1997 and 1998, she qualified her Small Junior Hunter for the Indoor Finals at Harrisburg. During those years she also had the opportunity to work with several green horses. From 1998 - 2002, Tiffany attended Virginia Intermont College and was a member of both the IHSA and IDA teams. Their team in 2001 was IDA National Champion and in 2002, Tiffany was the Individual Reserve National Champion in the Upper Training Level. She also received the Virginia Intermont Stable Management Award in 2000. She graduated in 2002 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Equine Studies. She has been grooming show hunters and jumpers ever since and in 2005 was second in the KHJA Groom's Class. Where would you like to go? |
